Oswego High School

Oswego, Illinois

Through the Education to Careers Department, Oswego High School operates a WAVE in Schools program. Students have the option of enrolling in WAVE I and WAVE II.

WAVE classes offer students an opportunity to explore a non-tradition approach to their education. While students are offered a great deal of freedom in terms of day to day mechanics and evaluation standards, teachers act as program facilitators and provide a wide array of real life skills activities. These activities stress career awareness, personal responsibility, ethical dilemmas, decision-making, and character building. .

Students learn to work as a team, resolve conflicts, adopt values and other personal skills that are not traditionally taught in high school. Oswego High School has offered WAVE classes to students for over 15 years.
