WAVE has model programs that fit the needs of youth with a wide variety of risk factors that make them more likely to be unsuccessful in school and/or, the workplace.
One of the following program designs may be the perfect fit for your classroom or youth program. Each is designed to be flexible to meet local needs, special student situations, funding requirements, hours of operation, and settings.
WAVE offers all of the training, technical assistance, and curriculum that acommunity-based youth organization or school will need to customize and implement any of the following program designs:
WAVE In Middle Grades, a program model for students in grades 6-8, usually in a classroom setting
WAVE In Schools, a program model for high school students, usually in a classroom setting
WAVE After School, a program model for middle school or high school students in a setting outside of school time
WAVE In Communities, a program model for school dropouts in a community-based setting

“There are young people all over this country who don't see a way out, who are reaching, trying to find something different, struggling for a chance. When our young people get desperate there are drugs, gangs, and guns that promise them a way out. WAVE can offer more young people a real chance as they did for me.”
