Jacquelin Hayden has devoted her professional career to the service of working with youth and has been a training facilitator for the national office for sixteen years. She has a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Virginia State University, a Masters of Education in Adult Education-Human Resource Development and Organizational Training from Virginia Commonwealth University, and has completed one year of Doctorate Studies in Adult Education at Nova University in Florida.
Jackie provides technical assistance, training and consultation in training seminars and workshops for adults and youth nationwide. This includes all aspects of the WAVE dropout recovery model. She has assisted with marketing of the WAVE curricula designed for middle grades, high schools, and community based organizations. She supervises program start-up, progress monitoring, staff training, employment development, outreach initiatives, contract negotiations, and youth leadership development skills training. In the past, she has been a WAVE program director and education coordinator, an adult education instructor, and a classroom teacher in various capacities.
Jackie’s areas of specialized consultation include design and facilitation of workshops in the following areas: Business/Program Linkages, Basic Education/GED Instruction Preparation, Classroom Management, Communication Skills, Capacity Building (recruitment and retention), Employment Readiness Programming, Job Development, Training and Group Facilitation Skills, Teambuilding, Creative Problem Solving, Stress Management, Motivational Strategies, Supervision Skills, and Service Learning.
